High life, resistances & attributes as needed. These modifiers are found together only on the Ghastly Eye Jewel. JEWELSįor jewel sockets, we are looking for increased Life as the main modifier and the second modifier should always be any of the increased cast speed for minions modifiers. Having Ghastly Eye Jewel with minion cast speed is BIG for this build as the faster they start killing enemies the safer you are. You may consider using Darkness Enthroned with Ghastly Eye Jewel providing Life, Energy Shield, and “#% minion damage when you’ve used a minion skill recently.” Alternately, you can use any rare belt with Life, resistances and/or attributes as needed. Since most of our damage comes from skeletons we would want to use anything that gives us more skeletons such as the unique: Alberon's Warpath. However, you are able to use the “Fear” essences such as Deafening Essence of Fear to craft extra minion damage gloves. High life, attributes & resistances if needed is the name of the game for most rare items in this build. It is important to note that you should avoid giving your Animate Guardian any extra chaos resistances or you might instantly kill him when you’re wearing this unique body armor. Since we are dealing damage with all 3 elemental types with our skeletons the most optimal chest piece to use would be the Fleshcrafter. This slow will have use of the “+2 or +3 level of socketed minion gems” to help increase the level of your utility minions! For higher budget I would strongly recommend checking out my crafting guide for the meta-minion helmet located here: However, there are some juicy choices one can take to increase the build’s efficiency, although they will come with a higher price tag. Since most items in this build are Rare, the main focus will be to have as much Life as possible and sort any attributes and resistances so we can reach the desired caps. When crafting, I would strongly suggest utilizing Craft of Exile to determine the cheapest approach to crafting the desired items. Many of the higher budget examples can either be purchased or crafted. High life, preferably with %life recovery on block Rare with + level of minion and/or spell skills Life then Res/Attributes as needed or Ashes of the Stars Life then Res/Attributes as needed (For high budget you can get a helmet with “+ level of socketed minion gems)

My quick list recommended approach for this build would then be: Item Slot

We also have a video explaining gear progression and how to optimise your Mage Skeleton journey. Modifiers which increase the level of your skeletons are most favorable, along with those increasing minion damage across the board. Most pieces should be Rare with Life and, of course, any lacking attributes/resistances. I would appreciate opinions on that subject and potential solutions/tweaks to that problem.Cap your Elemental Resistances and get the attributes your gems require to make sure you can use them all. In the end my conclusion was that while damage taken is less spiky, im forced to use my life flask more often due to the constant drain of my life. I dont see that additional mitigation would make up for the avoidance we loose.įrom my testing armour version: Mobs actually were hitting me, and i was taking some damage (usually very small amount, but armour cant reduce 100% of damage), that means i would need some version of sustain - and that i couldnt fix to reasonable level. We already have lots of physical mitigation due to fortify, and flasks, so im not really sold to armour stacking. While stacking armour gives us more physical defense, we also loose 40% dodge and lots of evasion.

So for armor stacking to mitigate physical damage:

I'm planning to switch to transcendence when i get every bit of gear i need for that, till that im still playing dodge/evasion build. I have noticed that armour version of this build is getting more traction now, but people playing it without transcendece and that suprises me.
